Holiday Kisses

I have been a fan of Calliope Jones in the Butterfly Harbor series through every book! She has been this lovely, fanciful, mystical character that was a part of every book and I couldn't wait to hear her background and what made her the way she was. I was NOT disappointed! While I have enjoyed thoroughly every book in this series, this book was by far my favorite! Calliope (don't you just love that name?!) has so many layers to her! Her back story AND her current story are fascinating. Her book could have been twice as long and I still couldn't have had enough! Everyone in Butterfly Harbor loves her - she's a free spirit, an organic farmer, a good friend and somewhat fanciful dreamer. However, along comes architect Xander Costas whose job it is to build a butterfly sanctuary for the town and he is failing miserably in Calliope's mind. She understands butterflies like nobody else and Xander just can't "see" what Calliope sees. As the two of them work together to come up with a design for the sanctuary, both of their lives will be changed forever. Xander's life is very complicated too but as Calliope reaches into his soul, he will become a different man. I also enjoyed Calliope's little sister, Stella. The two of them have a very special relationship. Do yourself a favor and pick up a copy of this book! You'll be glad you did!
