Worth the Risk: A Clean Romance

This latest addition to this clean romance series, is a stand alone and belongs to famous race car driver Declan Cartwright, and budding chef and food truck operator, Aletha Costas. Declan survived a horrible accident while on a race, and is recovering in a dilapidated house in the outskirts of town. When Aletha’s truck’s tire is busted she looks for assistance and meets Declan. The attraction is immediate, but each is looking for something different and each is recovering from heartbreaks. One because he might never be able to race again, and the other, because of the guilt of the losing a friend . But fate keeps on bringing them together and when things seem to be blossoming between them, Declan’s decision might end everything. Will each have the courage to take a risk and make their relationship work, or will fear and determination of not changing their lives be the end of them ever finding happiness together? This was a good addition to the series and I am looking forward to what else the author has in store for us. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.

Every Butterfly Harbor book is never long enough for me! I want it to be a never-ending story and when the last page comes, I weep! How can a book transport you to a place with characters that become part of you? I have loved every book and every character. I never want this series to end but I know it will. Until then, I rejoice in each one! This one brings us Declan and Althea's story. Two lost souls who don't even know they need each other - until they do! Althea is so sad underneath everything but she puts on a good front for all those around her. She just can't move on in her life from the past and plays it safe in all ways. Declan is the complete opposite. He's a race car driver and after a life-threatening crash, has chosen Butterfly Harbor for his recuperation. But it's not going fast enough for him and he doesn't like that. Pushing the limits is his motto. Declan and Althea are opposites but boy, are they right for each other! One of my favorite parts is when Declan gets a kitten! This story had so many wonderful parts and I savored them all.
