Beautiful Chains built the tension and intensity between Alexei and Alina, and that had me glued to the pages! I loved Alexei’s possessiveness yet caring nature in this book. Alina frustrated me in this book. “She’s attracted to me, always has been; it’s her mind that’s placing obstacles in our path.” That right there was what frustrated me! There was a twist I absolutely did not see coming, and now I wait for book three!

Well we get some insight into Alina. She is still a bit reluctant but torn too. He cares for her but al a o has two sides of him. Their past and present is complicated no matter how you look at it. It's an intense story.

I'm really starting to fall in love with Alexei! I wasn't sure if I liked him in the first book but, as I read this one, I liked how he treated Alina more & more. It's nice to have the dual POV because then you get to see things that Alexei is thinking and it helps you understand why he does the things that he does. His feelings for Alina are undeniable. I was quite surprised by the ending. It wasn't anything that I was expecting! I can't wait for the next book in their story!!!
