A geeky #gaymer and a hot SEAL - what could go wrong? Connection Error is book 3 in the #gamers series but you don’t need to have read the other books to enjoy this one. You should read the others though because they are fantastic; just like all of Annabeth Albert’s books! Her writing has the ability to transport me to another place – and keep me up all night if I start reading one of her books too late! I think I finished this one around 4:00 a.m. Josiah and Ryan both have their issues but they are trying to get past them. Josiah has adult ADHD and Ryan was severely injured when a SEAL mission went sideways. The unlikely couple-to-be meet when they are seatmates in first class on a flight that Josiah nearly missed. Ryan wasn’t even supposed to be in first class; an airline employee, grateful for his service, bumped him up. Ryan wants nothing more than to finish his rehab and return to military life, hopefully as an instructor. Josiah wants to excel in his first assignment as project manager. When their flight gets rerouted due to bad weather the two of them are kind of thrown together and things progress from there. #gaymers has been such a wonderful series but this book particularly touched my heart. I don’t personally know anyone with the injuries that Ryan has or anyone who has adult ADHD, but Ms. Albert’s author’s note at the end of the book describes all of the research she did to write this book and I’m sure that contributed to how authentic it seemed to me as I read it. This is a very hot story while at the same time it’s very sweet and compassionate. With both characters suffering from things they are unable to control I loved how Ms. Albert handled some of the difficult situations they found themselves in. Connection Error was another one of those stories that touched all of my emotions and had me in tears at times – my favorite kind!! I’ve heard that her next series will be about military guys and if they’re anything like Ryan I know they will be wonderful stories! This was a great series. I hope the author comes out with a forth book that will show how each be couple is progressing with their separate issues. I want to see Noah as a husband and father. Want to know if Tristan's mom accepts her son. Want to know if Ryan becomes a teacher and how Josiah is doing with being an adult with ADHD.
