About this eBook

Set seven years after Anne's House of Dreams, this heartwarming story follows Anne Shirley, her husband, and their five children, as they settle into their new home, affectionately named Ingleside.

Now parents to five lively children, Anne and Gilbert navigate the joys and challenges of family life. Their children, with their boundless curiosity and imagination, often find themselves in scrapes, mishaps, and adventures with neighbouring youngsters, bringing both laughter and lessons to their days.

Amidst the bustling household, Anne begins to worry that Gilbert may no longer feel the same love for her. Determined to rekindle their romance, Anne sets out to make him fall in love with her all over again.

Originally published in 1939, Anne of Ingleside is the sixth novel in Lucy Maud Montgomery's beloved Anne of Green Gables series. A touching exploration of family dynamics, enduring love, and the enchanting adventures of childhood, this edition is republished with a brand-new author biography.

Oh this series of books is heartwarmingly amazing! Even as a woman of 35 it hives me a childish pleasure and makes me see the magic and wonder and simplicity of the joys in life. The descriptions and feeling in all these books are just fabulous! Highly recommended!!!

The description on Play Books does not match the content of this book. It is a lovely continuation of the Anne of Green Gables story, featuring the lives of Anne and Gilbert and their growing children. Yes, it is an old fashioned read, but a trip into "Anne's world" is always a wonderfully nostalgic journey.
