About this ebook

A mute elven archer known only as Killer. Azyrin, a half Winter-orc shaman and his human swordswoman bride, Makha. Drake, the charming, swashbuckling rogue. The fireball-slinging pixie-goblin, Rahiel, and her mini-unicorn, Bill.
These are the Gryphonpike Companions.

Arriving in Strongwater Barrow, the Companions find the town riddled with plague and death. Ending the curse and saving the survivors means going into the swamps where monsters lurk and witches wait. Sounds like exactly their kind of day.

Witch Hunt is an adventure fantasy novella.

Also in the Gryphonpike Chronicles series:
The Barrows
(omnibus edition containing all four novellas)

Key Themes: Fantasy, Epic Fantasy, Sword and Sorcery, Elves, Archery, Adventure, Action, Dragon, Witch

as far as the fantasy is concerned, it is well written. but the story doesn't define any mystery or any twists or any turns. the author has went too far in describing the events with little familiarity of ascribing commendable u-turns. the book gets a bit boring as there's nothing different. I wish the author had took some time and had made it a mysteries pixie-goblin adventure and a bit dramatic too. as a vivid reader ain't recommending. yet if you wanna read the book to enhance your vocabulary and to get the idea of addendum synonyms used by the author, you can read it on your part.

Have been reading Sci-Fi and Fantasy for 70 years, and consider myself well equipped to say this was an excellent story. I do feel exploited by the unexpected 44 page shortness of it -- not even a novelette, and wish I'd been warned. I'll have to check out the library for more -- my income being quite limited.

A weak story with mediocre level of writing. Due to the way the story is told, it immediately robs it of a grand, hidden, plot that would have shocked and surprised the readers when it would have been revealed. The story itself tries to be mature, but it also tries to be family friendly by adding some oddball characters such as pixies riding atop miniature pink colored unicorns that feel terribly out of place considering the action and world it tries to build. Sufficed to say, it's a story where the author roleplays a "mute" character that can'teven nod or hug people without triggering a "curse" and robs a great deal of value from the story, thus leaving behind a child's attempt at a story that can hardly last in your memory more than an hour or so.
