I had my doubts in the beginning, I was worried from what I had read that it would be one of those books that is filled with a TON of romance. ( Don’t get me wrong, some romance is great – I just don’t want it every 10 pages. ) It had just the perfect amount of romance and a TON of action. The story in this book, the adventure, keeps you hooked. When a book can keep me hooked right from the beginning, I am aEXTREMELY happy reader. On top of how amazing the book is, ALL of the geek put into this book, is the BEST thing ever! Star Wars, Star Trek, Wolverine, and SO MUCH MORE. This book sings to my geek/nerdy soul in such a great way. ( Also – Tonya has a Twitter and responds to her fans. You should follow her! She’s awesome. ) Josie is an interesting girl. A geeky girl, with great friends at school and even a boy friend. That is, until her birthday, when he dumps her. At least she still has some friends to try and keep her positive. ( Which includes giving her The Big Bang Theory cupcakes for her birthday. ) Her father has been gone for a while, and her mother, brother and herself haven’t heard from him in quite some time. On top of all of this, she hasn’t been feeling well. While

I read the physical version of the book - in one sitting. I couldn't put the book down and completely lost myself in this story. It has a whole different outlook, the refreshing geekyness of the main character is a definite plus, and the fact that the story is layered and nothing is ever what it first seems is what makes this a great read. If you ever need a thrilling escape, this book is it! I can't wait for the next installment in this series!
