About this eBook

Anthony

During my seven years as a social worker in Gaynor Beach, California, delivering orphaned twins to their unsuspecting father is the biggest challenge I’ve ever faced. These babies lost their mother and they need a loving parent, but is adorable Scott Wexler up to that challenge? Transferring custody is one thing—walking away is something entirely different, especially with the stress of Christmas bearing down on Scott too.

Scott

After escaping a miserable childhood, I’ve made a fresh start in California. I’m in charge at the Gaynor Beach Public Library, I love helping people, and I'm feeling like an actual functional human being. Then social worker Anthony Rodrigues shows up on my doorstep with twins I fathered through a sperm donation, and suddenly I'm responsible for two tiny lives. Accepting help from the gorgeous social worker is a no brainer—admitting I want him to stay is going to take a lot more courage.

This 74k word gay romance is a slow burn, mid-angst, instalove with a geeky librarian, a by-the-book social worker, adorable twin-toddler terrors, and a beleaguered cat named Crumpy.

4,5* Anthony, CPS social worker who we met before and Scott, as well are the main characters in this multi author universe of 'The Single dads of Gaynor Beach'. If you have read more books in this universe you know that Anthony has not made the best decisions at times. In this book he starts of with a doozy as well; bringing twins Zayden and Alicia to their bio dad, Scott, complety out of the blue but with best intentions. Scott discovers that his former best friend made some strange decisions in her wish to become a parent and which she now feels she can no longer be. I enjoyed how they, Anthony and Scott, stuck together and helped eachother in doing the best for the twins together with amazing Lacy which we previously met. I appreciated that there is more background explained to Anthony his vehemence in the earlier book. Overall I found that these wonderfully flawed and realistic human beings experience personal growth when they take care of the twins, in their work and personal life. And that they discover that there is more than friendship between them is a very nice surprise on which they work hard as well to let it succeed. I am hoping we see them again in future books when they have their foster daughter in the mix as well. Also I like that we meet up with characters from the earlier books This book to me was low on heat but very high on care and support.

Anthony and Scott meet because of Scott's twins that he doesn't know he has. Anthony decides to help Scott until he can handle the twins on his own but the longer he with them the more he realize how much he cares for them. I really enjoyed this book.
