"This man's kiss was the way a kiss should be." I love a good reformed playboy story so this was right up my alley. And being a huge fan of the Eros Pit series was that much sweeter. Just like Willa I fell for Jake almost instantly. Tall, dark, handsome, fit, intelligent, charming, dominant, I mean, he calls her sugar! Who could resist? Well, apparently Willa, that's who. I don't know how she could walk away from him, especially since he's clearly her ideal romantic hero come to life. As much as I liked it, I did feel the story was rushed and just really wish they would have been given a full size book and not this shorter version. Otherwise it's a great story and a solid addition to the series.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review. In this book we meet Willa & Jake. Jake has just lost a big game and isn't looking for just anyone to be by his side tonight. When Willa sits down next to him he feels like all his hopes and dreams have just come true though and all thoughts of the game go right out of his mind. Willa can't believe she not only found a spot in the crowded bar but also next to the most handsome guy she has ever met. When he not only starts talking to her but flirting with her she can't believe it. She wonders if this is all real or she is just dreaming. Can these two find a HEA or will insecurities make that impossible? Another amazing story by this author. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

This is one of my favorite series ever. Midnight Player is a short and sweet sports romance featuring a shy romance author, Willa and star baseball player Jake. Somehow he has to convince her to take a chance on him. It will be the play of a lifetime. I loved this novella, and I highly recommend one clicking it STAT!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

About the author

Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Anya grew up listening to Cardinals baseball and reading anything she could get her hands on. She remembers her mother saying if only she would read the right type of books instead of binging her way through the romance aisles at the bookstore, she’d have been a doctor. While Anya never did get that doctorate, she graduated cum laude from the University of Missouri-St. Louis with an M.A. in History.
