Every book I read by this author is fantastic. This is no exception! Who doesn't love murder and mayhem in the Alaska??!! The opening scene begins with a murder while Kara is in the house of her dear friend, Walt and she is stunned. She hides and hopes to get away from the murderer but is shot while doing so. Of course, she is forced to call her former sweetheart, Shane who is an Alaska State Trooper because she doesn't know what else to do! I would be totally clueless in the snow! I love it but in Alaska, not so much! They become snowbound in a fancy resort during an avalanche but they know the killer is there with them and don't know who he is! They know the killer has to be tied to Kara's past...right? I can't imagine being snowbound with no way out! Yikes! Shane is trying to get other law enforcement in but with the snow, it's not happening! It makes for a tense story! I loved it and I really enjoyed Kara and Shane's relationship! A great book!
