About the author

Arnold Evans is an active bassist, teacher, writer and luthier in the New York area. His credits

include several records, CDs and published tunes, and three instructional books. He studied bass

with Dave Holland and Michael Moore, among others, and is equally at home playing acoustic,

electric, 5-string electric, and fretless electric basses. Several of his students have gone on to

successful careers in jazz, pop, and Broadway music.
