An excellent murder mystery novel that shift between characters and decades. Twists everywhere and hard to guess what will happen next. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because of the cliffhanger at the end. Noooooo! I need closure! I almost wanted to give the book 3 stars because of the way it ended, but Flowers is an extraordinary writer. I'd read it to get out of the usual stuff you're used to.

This book is unfinished. There are ends left hanging and you are left wanting the story to be finished. I could hardly put this book down ; the character development was deep enough and the content was intriguing, but the last part of the story was rather sloppily thrown together. It seems as if the author couldn't wait to end the book, thereby it left the reader (specifically, me) hanging.

I had great hope for this book especially when it was compared to "Finding Jacob" by David Landry. I was just disappointed with the myriad of characters. Not even getting real background on Margot. No attachment to anyone in the story. Ending made no sense to me.
