Prof. Dr. August-Wilhelm Scheer is one of the most influential scientists and entrepreneurs in German information technology. The ARIS method for process management developed by him is used in almost many DAX companies and also internationally. His scientific books on business informatics are standard works and have been translated into several languages. He is an independent political advisor at federal and state level and was president of the industry association Bitkom. He has founded several successful companies, including IDS Scheer AG, which he led from a start-up to a listed international player. He heads a group of nine companies, including Scheer GmbH, imc AG and Scheer PAS gmbH as well as the non-profit August-Wilhelm Scheer Research Institute.
