About this ebook

Join the Casemore Siblings in 1813 as Lady Philippa, Lord Harrison, and Everett Casemore, the Marquess of Berkswell, navigate Society and find their true loves along the way.

In BY ANY OTHER NAME (originally found in The Betting Season), Lady Philippa Casemore caused quite a scene at her very first ball of her very first season. She even landed herself, somehow, on the pages of the infamous betting book at White's gentleman's club. Unfortunately, she doesn't remember one moment of the night in question. Not the music. Not the notorious rake she'd dragged into the middle of the dance floor. Not the flask of opium-laced brandy she'd downed without realizing it's contents... * Jason York, the wicked Earl of St. Austell, can't quite forget the lady who stole his breath away the previous night. Of course, his broken nose, courtesy of the girl's brother, did have a way of making an impression. When he stumbles into Lady Philippa the next day, his ego is more than bruised when she doesn't seem to recall him at all and a scheme to make certain she never forgets him again quickly forms in Jason's mind.

In MY LORD HERCULES (originally found in A Season to Remember), Miss Miranda Bartlett is on a mission to locate her missing friend. Determined hoyden that she is, she’ll do whatever it takes to get the answers she seeks too, even if that means dressing like a dandy, sneaking into a gaming hell, and surrounding herself with London’s worst reprobates. However, she didn’t plan on bumping into a Herculean gentleman along the way. The handsome and honorable Lord Harrison Casemore immediately thwarts her plans and seems determined to save her at every turn, making it more than difficult to accomplish her task. * Ever since Harry Casemore spotted the exotic temptress trying to pass herself off as a fop, he’s been drawn to her. He hasn’t figured out what she’s after, but he’s fairly certain he’d sell his soul if she’d just let him help her with whatever it is.

***

In A BIT OF MISTLETOE (originally found in a Pact Between Gentlemen) Everett Casemore, the very serious Marquess of Berkswell, returns home for Christmas, slightly shaken by the death of an old friend. Determined not suffer the same fate at the hands of a woman, Berks resolves himself to eternal bachelorhood. Unfortunately, both his resolve and his peace of mind are threated by the arrival of a very pretty, but most unsuitable lady. * Miss Theresa Birkin knows better than most than an error in judgment can lead one down an unfortunate path. If only she’d been wiser when she was younger. If only she hadn’t followed her heart. If only she’d met Lord Berkswell long before now.

By Any other Name Lady Philippa (Pippa) Casemore has only been in London for a short time & after her very first ball her name appears in White’s Betting Book. Jason York Earl of St Austell is a rake & unwittingly makes a comment about Pippa which is the cause of the bet. I really like the characters in this easy to read well written story, I only wished it was longer. Characters from intertwining stories are mentioned, although this story stands alone it also fits really well with the other stories My Lord Hercules Harrison Casemore thinks he’s drunk more than he thought when he sees a woman in men’s clothing in a gaming hell. He rescues Miss Miranda Bartlett & is drawn to her. She is searching for her missing friend. A well written & engaging short story. The characters are well developed & very likeable. I only wish it had been longer A bit of Mistletoe Everett Casemore, the very serious Marquess of Berkswell, returns home for Christmas, slightly shaken by the death of an old friend. Determined not suffer the same fate at the hands of a woman, Berks resolves himself to eternal bachelorhood. Unfortunately, both his resolve and his peace of mind are threated by the arrival of a very pretty, but most unsuitable lady. Miss Theresa Birkin knows better than most than an error in judgment can lead one down an unfortunate path. Another very engaging short story. Three very engaging short stories featuring the Casemore siblings, each story is well written & ideal for whiling away a few hours

My Any Other Name A wonderful quick read! I was hooked from the start with her brother’s banging on her door. The moment they saw each other again it was an instant spark. I really liked how she found out about his scheme because it was different from most. You have to love her brothers because they wanted her happy even if they weren’t happy with the choice. Pippa knows her own mind and when she sets her mind to something there’s no stopping her. I loved her right away because she didn’t hide from anything and didn’t hold a grudge. She was not afraid to tell her brothers what she wanted. Jason had a reputation that he didn’t hide, but the real him came out as soon as his friend talked to him. He can instantly charm anyone, but he knows there’s a line he can’t cross. I loved when he kept thinking about what his friend said. My Lord Hercules This is an amazing love at first site story that is fun to read with its little twists. The moment they met I knew it wasn’t going to be a simple courtship but was going to be fun. I loved that he kept making deals with her to help her. The story about her why her friend was missing was said, but I had to cheer at what happened when he found out. Miranda is not a person to give up on something she is set on. I loved her from the start because she wasn’t going to give up easily. When her brother told her what to do I knew she would find a way around it. Harry didn’t know what he was in for when he met her. I loved how quickly he was hooked and how everyone noticed the change in him. He listened when she needed someone to about her friend and got to the bottom of it quickly. A Bit of Mistletoe As always Ava knows how to write the Christmas magic. I couldn’t put this one down especially once I realized who the girl was. They in no way got off on the right foot and I wasn’t sure how they would get on the right track, but when they did it was perfect. The little things of his siblings and great aunt and her uncle were just the right touch to add to the magic. I couldn’t believe who kept pushing them together! I loved the end where he understood the fire iron. Theresa learned from her past what following your heart can lead to and she will not let that happen again. I loved that she would go toe to toe with him, but also listened and understood him. She knew he was different from others. Berks made a dumb choice when he decided to never marry, and he knew it once he saw her. Behind that serious face is a man you love for saying things wrong and listening to his friends. I loved him the moment he went out in the snow storm.
