About this ebook

Here is a story that kids can read and enjoy by themselves. Mouse and the clock is a perfect book for children if they know how to read and are ready for something more. It could also be read out as a bedtime story, little by little, creating that eagerness to wait to hear the rest of the story for another day. From the Years 7 and above, kids want a little more than a story, they enjoy that bit of mystery, adventure, and imagination. Mouse and the clock is a story about a mouse who lives in an island. But this is not like any other island, there is something very interesting and unusual about this land. The mouse managed to unsolve this mystery. Would you like to join on this adventure journey too?

What wonders has Ayaan depicted in this book, such a sweet, imaginative and descriptive book. May his wonderful words trigger the mind of young readers and inspire their wee little minds to paint the world with their bright stories. I am looking forward to reading Ayaan's stories to my sons. Thank you for helping us relive a wonderful time called childhood.

About the author

Ayaan is a young writer living in Australia; in fact, he is more of an ideator. His thoughts and ideas run so fast that it’s impossible to catch up with it, capture it all and put it down. All the books are written, edited, and illustrated by his mother on his behalf.

When he is in a mood for a conversation, he always has something to offer, a thought of wisdom, a social reformation idea or a story. So far, only a little of what he narrated has been captured and written down.

His idea of storytelling has no boundaries, a specific goal, or a marketing technique as this narrator is a young writer. Therefore, his books are not educational as one may term it, but a free flow of thoughts not restricted by the need to teach. It’s purely a stream of imagination.

However, he unknowingly follows a pattern, a style of magical realism in his stories and his characters are always seen to be rising above challenges, and achieving something that is important in their life.

Apart from storytelling, he enjoys learning about space, the universe, and the physics of it. He tries to understand the complexities of human mind and behavior. He dreams of new inventions, a moneyless society and also holds a passion for creating games for all occasions and no occasions.

Deena Philip writes under the pen name Rose Butterfly. She is the author of The Book I never had. She is also the Creative & marketing Executive of Cheer Productions, Australia.
