I absolutely love Asher's writing style. Her books have me hooked. She takes real problems and makes beautiful perfections out of them. Ashlynn and Scott are two mature adults that both had terrible pasts that left real scars on their hearts and trust. My heart was captured feeling everything these two were going through, the love and the hurt. These two proved that if two people truly love each other, communication and understanding can go a long ways. My husband who typically doesn't listen to my audiobooks was even drawn in giving his input. I'm so glad this one ended on a HEA ❤️ Also, the narrators did it again. I absolutely love both of them and how their voices integrate so seamlessly throughout the story. Their emotions could be heard as well which made the book just that much better. *chefs kiss*

I loved this story, I was completely pulled into the story and the characters. Ashlyn was so, so easy to like, she has some brilliant responses and she doesn't take no for an answer. Scott was a grumpy widower, but seeing him come out of his shell was great to read. I really liked how the tough discussions were not avoided and they had some really open and honest discussions. This isn't just about Ashlyn and Scott, it's also about settling into a small town and how the community rallies round the residents. The side characters were also easy to like, and it looks like they will also have their own story to tell. The only thing stopping me giving 5 stars is the way Ashlyn's ex was dealt with - I think an opportunity was missed here and it seemed to be swept to the side. The narration by Kai Kennicott and Wen Ross was spot on, it was so easy to listen and understand and I love that they didn't just narrate their own chapter, but jumped in on speech too.
