About this ebook

A cautionary tale about the life of former kingpin Azie Faison, who has become the fabric of street legend

Faison was a ninth grade dropout who earned more than $100,000 a week selling cocaine in Harlem, New York, during the peak of America's "War on Drugs" between 1983 and 1990. Faison, along with two partners, was an urban prince with cars, jewels, and people -- in awe of this million-dollar phenomenon -- at his feet. His legacy has been praised by hip-hop's top names in their lyrics, and his life was the basis for the urban cult classic film Paid in Full starring Mekhi Phifer, Wood Harris, and rapper Cam'ron and produced by Jay-Z's Roc-A-Fella Films.

In Game Over, Azie brings forth a powerful memoir of New York's perilous drug underworld and music industry, with an intellect and wisdom to empower and challenge the street culture he knows so very well.

This book is excellent. Anyone who has been in the Street life or knows anyone that is going that way can relate. This book is perfect for Young MEN today to read and grasp. There are many perils waiting for the BLACK male in present day society. And if they can avoid many of them by this BOOK you have accomplished something. I am proud that you are willing to show your faults and mistakes to better this world.

I had no idea this book would be this entertaining and at the same time poetic and informative. It's a book I would recommend to anyone as it was recommended to me. I saw the movie Paid in Full as well as the documentary Game Over but this book gave me more insight into the mind and life of a street legend. This book was able to shed light on his life as well as what happened after the lights were turned off.

Probably feelin like some of us asking " yo , was it really worth it? man it was a crazy time and real easy to get your vision blurred with so much dough out there. I remember mob style that joint with the shoutouts to the big n....as. "AZ now thats a real big n....a." Willie burgers saturday nights..If you pockets wasnt deep dont even go there.God bless you and hope you can keep sending the right message out there. Rappers nowadays got it all twisted.
