I bought this book since I love black forest cake and would like to learn how to make it, and it has lots step by step pictures - suitable for me. My first (and last) try was to make Black forest with cheese cake layer. I follow the step by step to create the black forest layer, and the mixture was way too less for making two layers. However, I divided the mixture in two baking pan as instructed and put them in the pre-heated oven (I'm using electric oven with temperature indicator). It was overcook even though I put in the oven for less than 15 mins (the instruction said way longer than this). The cheese layer also turned bad - too thin, overcooked when I baked it for less than 15 minutes. It seems the writer just copy paste the receipt since the instructions, temperature and baking time is quite similar in each recipe. And I don't know how she can create so beautiful cake by following her own recipe. From this experience, I don't think I will try other recipe in this book. It is really disappointing. If I could return, I will do it immediately.
