The Gauntlet

"Earth Angel" series was a good enough read and I was enjoying the series but ended with a cliff hanger that the writer doesn't seem to want to finish (now over two years waiting, book 19 was 2018 now it's far into 2020) one of the reasons I have given only one star is the constant crying of the main character Laya it got very tiresome after 19 books second is most of the books were way under 200 pages, this series could of been done in 4 to 5 books Max and not cost me $60+ bit greedy I think. but the biggest reason for me giving only one Star is after finishing the last book, I was looking for more from the author B.C Burgess, well low and behold the author has another series called "Mystic Series" same characters (Laya and Quin ) same story same everything word for word, different series heading and each book was headed by a different name now that's what I call double dipping and money hungry B.C Burgess, and is also the reason I'm now no longer reading anything from this author

Seriously, just started this series on Christmas 2020, and now it's the 4th of January and I'm left hanging! I am offended. I want to know how it ends., To leave everyone hanging in the mystic balance is just wrong, not to mention the money we have all spent to get to that ending. I feel like I've run a gauntlet. Wrap up the story in one more book. I would agree that it took Layla forever to grow up and she is a bit weepy and that in and of itself is annoying, but can also be easily overlooked for the rest. Just finish the dang series. Jeez.

Loved the series. With each book I was drawn in deeper and deeper Into the fantasy. Please tell me you're not going to leave us hanging. Will there be a book 20 and if so when is the release date.
