Dee Anna Justice has had only one constant in her life and that is - no constant! She's never been settled anywhere, her dad is a conman, she doesn't have any other family and she never collected anything. Usually, she had to pick up and leave somewhere in the middle of the night so often that forming attachments was useless so, other than a small rag doll, she didn't have anyone but her father. However, her father is now in prison and she was starting to feel.....safe! She has a job she likes and is starting to feel settled a little bit until all of the sudden she finds another "rag doll" just like the one she had as a child, on her bed one day and her life suddenly changes. Her father fears for her safety so urges her to go to Montana to visit cousins she never knew she had and calls in a debt of a PI, Beau Tanner, to protect her. She also finds out her mother didn't die in childbirth like her father told her and her mother's family didn't even know about her all these years! To say her world is completely topsy turvy is an understatement! BUT, someone is trying to kill her and Beau has his work cut out for him in keeping her alive! Another winner from this author. I love visiting Cardwell Ranch anytime! I love it that we get to keep reconnecting with characters from previous books too! My favorite thing to do!!!
