Bachman-Turner Overdrive, oft abgekürzt als BTO, war eine kanadische Rockband aus Winnipeg, Manitoba, die 1973 von Randy Bachman, Robbie Bachman und Fred Turner gegründet wurde. Ihr 1970er-Katalog umfasste fünf Top-40-Alben und sechs US-Top-40-Singles (elf in Kanada). BTO hat fünf Gold-Alben und ein Platin-Album in den USA; in Kanada haben sie sechs Platin-Alben und ein Gold-Album. Die Band hat weltweit fast 30 Millionen Alben verkauft und wird von ihren Fans liebevoll "Gearheads" genannt (abgeleitet von dem zahnradförmigen Logo der Band). Viele ihrer Songs, darunter "Let It Ride", "You Ain't Seen Nothing Yet", "Takin' Care of Business", "Hey You" und "Roll on Down the Highway", werden immer noch regelmäßig auf klassischen Rocksendern gespielt.
