4.5 Stars for Back in the Burbs by Tracy Wolff and Avery Flynn I’m very familiar with Avery Flynn but Tracy Wolff is a new author to me but after reading Back to the Burbs that will certainly change, this duo of very talented authors did a seamless job with this entertaining read, if fact i have no idea who wrote what and that’s a sure sign of a good writing duo. Mallory has inherited her aunts house and she sees this as a golden opportunity to get her life back on track, she needs to move on from her cheating ex husband and this could be just what she needs, what she didn’t bargain for was to be in endless fights with the HOA who seem determined to have her fail, she needs someone who knows there way around the suburb she has moved into and could that be her extremely hot but grumpy neighbor Nick. As Nick and Mallory get to know each other, sparks start to fly as emotions and feelings come into play. As their relationship moves forward Mallory really becomes the woman we knew was hiding inside right from the start of this book, struggling with relationships becomes a thing of the past as we see her embrace her sense of humour , show her sassy side and open her heart to Nick. This enemies to lovers is a wonderful, entertaining read that will appeal to a wide range of audiences, the banter is witty, the characters adorable and the story is believable. This book certainly ticked all my boxes and I’m sure it will tick yours too.

Mallory Martin Bach is through with men, especially ones trying to run her life. After catching her husband with a young paralegal, Mallory decides she has had enough and wants out. She never expected her soon-to-be-ex to take everything in her life away. With no place to live, no job and no friends left, Mallory thinks her life can't get any worse....wrong....her favorite Aunt Maggie passes away. The only potential positive thing in Mallory's life at the moment is that Aunt Maggie left her her house. When Maggie gets to the house she loved at a child, she is in for a big surprise. The house is in very poor condition and she has 47 HOA violations waiting for her to fix. Mallory also discovers a big secret her Aunt had been keeping. Nick Holloway has had a rough last few years. Determined to move forward in his life he is trying to find a purpose. When the feisty Mallory moves into her Aunt Maggie's home, Nick realizes he may have found his purpose. As Nick tries to help Mallory out, their chemistry starts to sizzle until they fall into a fun, friends with benefits routine. When things are starting to look like Mallory may have finally found her happy ending, doubts and fears start to creep into Mallory's head and her world blows up because of her actions. It will take a lot of soul searching before Mallory realizes what she really wants out of her life and she will need to make some big decisions to finally get her happy ever after. I just adored Nick! He was so sweet, calm and determined. He is the type of man any girl would love to have. I enjoyed Mallory and her determination to not make the same mistakes all over again. I think she found the perfect person for her when she met Nick. Together they are wonderful together. Overall this was a fun, wonderful story with a perfect happy ending.

4.5 Stars I will read anything by Avery Fynn so I knew I had to dive into this one. The blurb had me sold. I'm not gonna lie it started out a little slow for me and I wasn't sure I felt about the book. Then has Mallory moved into her late aunt's house that's when the magic started. I so got sucked into the story. I truly loved Mallory and Nick. Nick is going to win you over though hang in there because his first impression didn't do him any favors. Mallory is an inspiring character. She is at rock bottom and trying for a fresh start. This is quite the journey Mallory goes on. A lot of twists and turns are headed her way, but it shows there is light after the dark. I loved Nick's parents. They're a hoot. I wished they were in here more. I can honestly say for someone who prefers dual points of view this book worked so much better from just Mallory's point of view. It's her journey and she takes us in her footsteps of finding herself again. It's a great book that will make you laugh, but also give you all the feels.
