After a devastating breakup, Basha sets out to reclaim her dignity on the high Sierra Nevada. As she treks up the Pacific Crest Trail, the snowy path grows increasingly treacherous. Still, she pushes forward until a misplaced step sends her careening toward the mountain’s edge. To save herself, she must sacrifice her belongings to the boulders below.

Cold and destitute, Basha wanders through the wilderness, desperate to make it to her next checkpoint. As her situation deteriorates, she is forced to accept the help of a recluse named Jeremiah. At first, Basha is frightened by the brutish loner. But, after he tends to her wounds, she realizes there is more to this unusual man than meets the eye.

I loved Basha & Jerimiah. The characters seemingly different but still the same. Basha needed the hike & change to forget the ex. In return her kindness to Jerimiah he was solely longing for. He truly feel for her way before Basha realized her true feelings! Must read & definite page turner. A very good story.

I've read full novels that had less bones than this short story. All emotions were experienced. I'd give it a 5 star, but this could have easily been a full length novel or even a novella. Well worth the read.

I love this book I know is supposed to be like Beauty and the Beast but this is so much better it's a story You can Feel,it not just an empty story filled with sex ,one of my favorites☺
