On the second read and with a bit of the Scott Snyder shine out of my eyes this book is mess to many artist on one book. They had that problem where they don't talk about how old some one is so Red Robin looks like a man some times and a child the next. The time line is just garbage I blame the writes and editor for not coming down on them. This is what cost the dc brass they lack consistency.

The story has gaps (in presentation and plot), some nonsensical characterization and never moves in a way that is meaningful. You read this story, but there's nothing really new here. Worse yet, the areas that aspire to be new just reflect pedestrian thought that panders to a given audience. This read like batman mimicry or pantomime - it's just never authentic or immersive.

It's amazing just how much talent is working on this title. NOTHING about this story is boring, which is impressive. Barbara Gordon is as determined as Batman is in clearing her Dad's name & finding the source of the paranormal activity that has influenced Gordon and caused him to be locked up @ Blackgate pen!! Joker's Daughter is involved with some black magick beneath Arkham. & what is the real driving force behind the current Gotham Gang Wars. It takes Batman a trip in his Batplane to China to find out.
