R G O 2 (BaelRathLian)
I recommend this book to everyone who likes TRUE science fiction. I have had several copies of the ORIGINAL book. (Not the Travolta disaster) Funny thing is the book is so thick it kept falling apart until I got the hardback book. I have read this book so many times you would not believe it. So thought the e-Book would be a nice change. Splash picture is NOT the original one. The only disappointment to me about this book was the ending. - No spoilers here. -

this book is can be broken down into three parts, the first part that follows the same events as the movie, is some of the best science fiction i have ever read and got me excited to read the rest of this monstrosity of a book, i was sorely mistaken, the second third follows in the steps of the first but you can see it start to lose its way from the beginning and it begins to get more long winded instead of action packed. now the third and final part of the book is an absolute mess, you go from sci-fi action adventure to pure political intrigue and the authors own ideologies. if you want something that will drag on for what seems like an eternity then read this book, or just read up to where the movie ended and save yourself the grief reading the rest

Couldn't put this down, the scale of the plot is amazing, the whole universe is involved, but it doesn't overwhelme you with characters and such.Dont let the movie put you off if you watched it first. If the movie had stayed true to the book it would of needed to be a series.Id go as far to say it's in my top 3 favourite reads ever.
