About the author
Francis Scott Fitzgerald, né à Saint Paul (Minnesota) en 1896, connut un succès foudroyant aux États-Unis en 1920 avec son premier roman L'envers du paradis. Sa vie, qui est associée aux années folles de la «génération perdue», est devenue légendaire. Il est mort en 1940, à Hollywood, au milieu de l'indifférence à peu près générale.
