About this ebook

Leah was born to be on stage. After her band broke up under tragic circumstances, she thought she would never perform again. When she gets a second chance, as the fill-in for a big-time rock band whose bassist just quit mid-tour, it's a dream come true.

There's just one problem: she unknowingly hooked up with the band's sexy guitarist at a dive bar the night before. O'Connor is funny, charming, dangerously appealing... and now completely off-limits.

Leah's determined to keep things professional. Giving in to their simmering sexual tension isn't an option. But as the band's internal problems get worse and worse, falling into O'Connor's bed seems better and better.

Pretty typical rock star romance except the hero isn't the frontman but the lead guitarist. The. most interesting part to me was the description of Andrew's breakdown. It was pretty accurate, especially the absolute helplessness of his friends. They wanted to help him but didn't know what to do, were afraid to confront him because of his rejection of previous offers and had that American attitude that each person is entitled to find his (her) own happiness. But sometimes the only course of available action is a wholesale intrusion of an individual's headspace. In this case, the ER doctor was left to do that. Thankfully for me Andrew responded positively to the treatment but that is not always true. sometimes the outcome is Corey.

I'm rather disappointed with the characters. Andrew received very little empathy and support from the rest of the characters. Despite his struggle with depression, the other members of the band were mainly worried about their own futures. If not for this, Wild Open would have been worth five stars. It's a good book - not great.
