Blood Moon is part mystery, part shifter romance. The book starts strong pulling the reader in from page one and keeping them turning the pages until the end. The mystery isn't on par with books from top mystery writers, but the romance more than makes up for it. All in all, it's a good book. Contains graphic sexual scenes. I received a complimentary copy of this book. This is my honest and voluntary review.

This book was weird. In the first few pages you had a murder and the sheriff stating right away that she was next, that someone was going to be coming after her. He doesnt even know whats going on and yet he "knows shes next!" Dont like books that are all ovah da place.

Blood Moon has it all. Romance, mystery, action, intrigue - Oh,and a bear! What's not to love? Marcus and Angie have great chemistry even when they can't see what's right in front of them. I'll admit they did frustrate me to no end at times with their push and pull, but the mystery side of this one kept the romantic angst in check. This was one of those mysteries where I was pretty sure I had the answer figured out, but the author injected just enough doubt to keep me second guessing myself. It also comes with plenty of action that keeps our characters on the defensive as they try to figure things out. This first in the series introduces the not so charming town of Charming, Arizona and it's resident bear and sheriff, Marcus. I couldn't help but fall for this gruff on the outside bear. Marcus is a bit of loner, but not necessarily by choice. He's certainly broken by past loss and punishing himself with his guilt, but inside, he's a little bit of a marshmallow and wants acceptance whether he can admit it or not. Then we have Angie, who comes to town for a job to boost Charming's image and put it on the map, so to speak. She's feisty and somewhat outspoken, which is a source of contention with the Sheriff. As they butt heads, the attraction grows and creates a whole other kind of tension. All in all, Blood Moon is a solid start to a promising series and I can't wait to see what's next for the residents of Charming, Arizona and its lone bear.
