The last thing Remy was expecting was a last minute Council conference that will call all Clan Chiefs from North America, and even Canada, to come together to discuss many issues for werebears. With only a week to prepare, Remy is nervous about leaving behind his clan, but knows that these meetings are very rare and it will only be for a week. So knowing a few days away from New Orleans won’t hurt, he heads to Montana to see what the Council will be discussing in relation to the recent attacks by The Human Order.

Arriving a few days before the conference, Remy runs into an old family enemy, immediately wishing he didn’t run into the man. Charles is always out to prove himself, feeling himself better than others because of his family wealth. But once Remy meets another young lady he is quickly falling for, Remy is thinking that perhaps coming to this conference will work out in his favor in the end.

But the last thing Remy could have every imagined is that the girl he is falling in love with is actually the daughter to his father’s oldest enemy, Charles. Now Remy is doubting his love for Tara, wondering once her father finds out who he is that Tara will look down on him just like her father. Remy was not expecting this all to happen, but now he’ll have to make the choice to either pursue his love or just focus on returning to New Orleans at the end of the week.

Clan Chief Remy gets his turn. We've gotten looks at the fair minded chief throughout this series, but he's always been a secondary character, coming in when needed. Here, we get Remy on his own as he attends a Council conference to discuss werebear issues. While there, he meets Tara and the attraction is obvious. This pair falls a little faster than other couples in the series, but their romance is no less sweet. We also get a bit of drama by way of an old enemy - one who has a personal interest in Remy's romance. Remy's gentle nature and the almost shy way he deals with Tara brings to mind a cuddly teddy bear, but he's certainly an intelligent teddy bear with the way he handles the obstacles in his path. He and Tara are well-suited in that department and this pair is absolutely adorable together. All in all, Remy is another engaging, fun read in the Big Easy Bears series, and I can't wait to see what's in store for gruff Phillipe. Remy can be read as a standalone as there is enough info included to follow what's happened up to this point, and each book in the series focuses on a different couple, but I would recommend starting at the beginning to get to know each of these quirky werebears and their mates.

A well-written story that I enjoyed reading the book kept me turning pages I know I want to read the next book.This is Remy and Tara's story and the interaction between these two had me turning pages I had to know what was going to happen.I received a copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.

This is a wonderful, intriguing book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. This book is about: a werebear clan chief (Remy) who is called to a important clan meeting, once there he meets a young female werebear (Tara) whom he discovers is the daughter of his father's oldest enemy. What you will find in this book is: drama, intrigue, a vindictive domineering father, werebears, enemies, obstacles, attractions, harassment, conflict, defiance, lust, passion, love and mild erotic scenes. The story-line and plot is well-thought out & written, and keeps the reader’s attention. The characters are well-developed with personalities and moods suited to the situations they find themselves in. This is a well-written bear shifter romance and I would recommend it.
