This entertaining, well-paced novella is about a woman (Delphine) & her baby (Chris) on the run from an ex, she comes into contact with a man (Leo) & the chemistry flares between them. I found the story-line and plot rather intriguing with interesting characters that are quite realistic with their emotions feelings. There is: wolf shifters, bear shifters, some twists, drama, danger, paranoia, desperation, threats, emotional turmoil, attractions, some steam & a satisfying conclusion.

Neither Jacob or Ashley are strangers to heartbreak, each in a different way. When Ashley takes the job as a ranger near Jacob's clan's home neither one is looking to open themselves up to more potential heartbreak but Jacob especially doesn't want anyone who can risk the safety of his clan and he is trying to raise his infant daughter alone. When these two meet their chemistry is undeniable. I just loved these two together and the story had everything I could have hoped for - romance, a hint of danger, passion and a whole lot of emotion. I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

Another great short story, I enjoyed reading this book 📚, it has a great storyline. The interaction and chemistry between the characters is wonderful. I can't wait for more from this author. I received this book as a FREE ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
