If not for my amazing daughter, Mandy, I don’t know if I would be here to tell my story. And what’s my story? It’s one of finding purpose and forgiveness, getting a second chance at being a mother, and finding my way back to my true love.
Come have a seat. I’ll fix you a cup of tea and cut you a big slice of my famous banana bread while you listen to my tale.
My name is Ricky. I will also share a part of Becca’s story by telling my side. We share a past, and I’d love to rekindle that flame. However, being a single dad and trying to raise young children, especially one who is still grieving her mother, might be too much for us to overcome.

As a child, I wanted to be a teacher or a scientist but I always had a love of books. Spending many hours in libraries with stacks of books.
As a young child, I had trouble sleeping, so my parents suggested that I tell myself happy stories about things I liked. I started by telling myself adventure stories or adding myself into my favorite books. This launched my love of storytelling.
Over the years, I tried and quit, tried and quit to write a book or even a complete short story. I have tons of notes from those misses saved. But, finally, in October 2016, I started writing Mandy’s Story. It was the first book I ever completed.
Then one of my aunts asked me if I wrote mystery, so I tried it and that is how Premedicated Murder and the Medium with a Heart Series was born.
