About this ebook

The Sunday Times Bestseller.

Funny, entertaining and really rather inspiring, too --Daily Mail

___

How does a cripplingly shy, geeky, perennially homesick boy end up rowing across the Atlantic?

Ben Fogle's life has been action-packed to say the least. He has rowed across the Atlantic, walked to the South Pole, run the Sahara and ice-skated across Sweden. He has encountered isolated tribes in deepest Papua New Guinea, caused a Boeing 747 to dump £100k of fuel before making an emergency landing in Sao Paolo, and frequently been mistaken for Prince William along the way.

So how did a cripplingly shy, geeky, perennially homesick boy end up doing all this? Ben's still not entirely sure himself, but this wonderful book tells his story and will strike a chord with anyone puzzling about life, and how to live it differently.

This is a book about defying expectations, conquering fears, battling laziness and, just occasionally, winning.

Absolutely fascinating. The descriptive writing had me totally immersed in the places he was in. The kindness, empathy and sometimes sympathy of people who are not so fortunate in where they happen to be born. I really admire Ben for his strength and determination to complete whatever he started out to do despite the many setbacks, some of which were dangerous to the point of life-threatening. If you see this Ben, well done and congratulations for a very well-written book and ......Keep on the trucking!!!

Really enjoyed reading this book. While it jumped about a bit from chapter to chapter the writing style made you feel as though you were on some of the journeys with Ben. Definitely one to recommend
