About this ebook

Saying goodbye is sometimes the beginning.

Craig Turner was Coach Diaz’s star player, back in the day. He was held in high regard, until he broke the rules and dated the coach’s daughter. Young and stupid, his affection for her lasted until graduation, and then it was time to face the real world--but his love for her would never leave him.

Rachel Diaz became who her father wanted her to be, a well educated, well traveled, successful woman, but she holds a well full of secrets from the outside world. As a high school therapist, she uses her past traumas to help others overcome their own.

When the Fabulous Five arrive at Coach Diaz’s funeral, to pay their respects, a rekindling happens between them all—and between Craig and Rachel.

Is Rachel woman enough to face her demons and is Craig man enough to accept them? Or will their encounter be as brief as the affair they had a decade ago, behind her father’s back?

This was a great 5 star read, my emotions were all over the place. We start with a funeral where five teammates come together to honor their old coach. Craig is one of those five, he hasn't seen coaches daughter Rachel in years and isn’t sure just how she will be with him. Craig and Rachel were high school sweethearts that didn’t end well. Rachel invites Craig to meet and catch up and things take off from there. They start to rekindle old feelings. Her brother is very protective of Rchel and isn’t happy about what is happening between them. Rachel has some secrets from the past that need to be shared with Craig. Will they be able to move forward once the secrets are revealed? Overall this was a good second chance romance. I really liked all of the characters, they added a great element to the story. The author does a great job of pulling you in with her writing. I look forward to reading more from this series. 1-click and get started today.
