You can’t go wrong with Fool’s Gold where Mallery gives small town romance an extra twist or two. I love how we return to the same town that we’ve come to know and love throughout the series, while also getting to know a little bit more about yet another corner of it. Through this, a plot that is both comical and heartfelt shines. If I thought the plot of this novel was fantastic, the characters were definitely off the wall. I can’t remember the last time that I had so much fun getting to know two individuals as they got to know each other, but most especially themselves. This novel is both a fantastic addition to the series as well as a great novel to read on its own. My copy is bound to be dog-eared I short order as I’m already ready to dive back in and read it again. Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

A wonderful treat to read! When Shelby asks Aidan to be her guy friend, just friends, no one believes them. They learn a lot about the differences between men and women, do things together, and form a genuine friendship. Friendship suddenly doesn't seem like enough, but neither wants to ruin what they have, until it's too late and the attraction is too much to be put aside. Both have to overcome fears and trepidation from the past to make things work for the future, learn to trust, and believe in love. A wonderful HEA!

I love visiting Fool's Gold, even for the twentieth time plus. Once again we catch up with old friends and get to know Shelby and Aidan better. Shelby needs a male friend for the next six months to help her overcome her trust issues of men, so she picks Aidan, who is well known to the females. This friendship will include NO Sex! Love it!!! You will be cheering them on and laughing along with them, as they make their journey. I believe all relationships need to have friendship as a basis to a good relationship. Oh, did I mentions that there will be new babies and a cute dog, Charlie, oh how I love Charlie. Susan introduces us to her new town of Happily Inc, can't wait to read more of this new town in her upcoming books.
