I love visiting Fool's Gold, even for the twentieth time plus. Once again we catch up with old friends and get to know Shelby and Aidan better. Shelby needs a male friend for the next six months to help her overcome her trust issues of men, so she picks Aidan, who is well known to the females. This friendship will include NO Sex! Love it!!! You will be cheering them on and laughing along with them, as they make their journey. I believe all relationships need to have friendship as a basis to a good relationship. Oh, did I mentions that there will be new babies and a cute dog, Charlie, oh how I love Charlie. Susan introduces us to her new town of Happily Inc, can't wait to read more of this new town in her upcoming books.

A wonderful treat to read! When Shelby asks Aidan to be her guy friend, just friends, no one believes them. They learn a lot about the differences between men and women, do things together, and form a genuine friendship. Friendship suddenly doesn't seem like enough, but neither wants to ruin what they have, until it's too late and the attraction is too much to be put aside. Both have to overcome fears and trepidation from the past to make things work for the future, learn to trust, and believe in love. A wonderful HEA!

The Fool's Gold series is like a gem. A little rough around the edges but valuable beyond compare. I treasure my time here. Susan Mallery offers insightful stories that are delightful pieces of Americana. Small town living, valuable wisdom and emotional reading. Her latest Best of My Love is to date my favorite of the series. Shelby and Aidan had to learn how to be friends. There were trust issues, secret heartaches and insecurities within them both. The experiment of building a relationship for these two was more about having someone to count on than romance. What started as a test quickly took a surprising twist. I received an ARC of Best of My Love in exchange for an honest review. Best of My Love was like a home cooked meal. A hearty feast meant to be savored that lingers long after the last bite.
