Anna O'Brien loves her orderly life. She is a map librarian for the Library of Congress. Anna has overcome some hardships and is a stronger person for it, yet she likes being in the background. When Luke Callahan needs her assistance and shows interest in her, she is not willing to jeopardize her job for his flirtations. When mystery and the navy try to shut down every question she has about the ship her father was on, she has no one else to turn to but Luke. Can they solve this mystery and keep their feelings in check? Luke Callahan has finally found a place in politics, despite his upbringing. When Anna suddenly enters his life he is afraid he will never be the same. Can he keep his temper in check or is he doomed to be like his father? Will he be able to prove to Anna his love and truthfulness? When his role in politics changes can he maintain his true honest character or is more required of him?
