In 'Beyond Companionship - Christians In Marriage', Diana and David Garland examine some of the prevailing ideas about marriage that are held by many church leaders, social scientists, counselors, and therapists. Among the myths they dispel:

Diana S. Richmond Garland is Chairwoman of The School of Social Work and Director of the Center for Family and Community Ministries, Baylor University, Waco, Texas. David E. Garland is Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Professor of Christian Scriptures George W. Truett Theological Seminary, Baylor University, Waco, Texas.
