Every ordinary person living on this planet wants to earn a lot of money so that they can fulfill their wants and for this they really work hard with full of honesty but there are also people who want to earn a lot in short period, and they take the wrong path which are illegal. This book takes us on the journey of one of the multibillion scam that happened in India and its unknown facts behind the scenes. Do pick this book up to explore more into it. Talking about the structure of the book, it is written in coherent language. And the anticipation of how everything will end keeps the reader hook until the last page. I wasn't aware of any such scam and reading this book has really helped me to enhance my knowledge and it was fascinating to learn something like this. The author has done a great job of writing a book that clearly resonates as you read it. The title and cover fit the whole story. Recommend reading to everyone. Enjoy reading.

It's a pleasure to read Bhaswar Mukherjee's The Counterfeiter. I have to confess, the book is extremely fascinating.This book takes us on the path of one of the massive scams that occurred in India and explores its untold backstory. The journey of Abdul Telgis from his early years, where the foundations of his ideas and his actions came into being, is detailed in this book. We examine Abdul Karim Telgis' life and the scam that shook the country as a whole in 2003. If you have some free time, I recommend reading this book. The book's title is pertinent to the situation and fitting. The book's cover is pretty attractive, and the author should be commended for it. The text is straightforward and comprehensible. The language is unambiguous and easy to comprehend. I found the book to be enjoyable overall. Wishing you success with your reading.

The Counterfeiter: Abdul Karim Telgi and the Stamp Scam by Bhaswar Mukherjee is all about the stamp scam which shocked the anchorages of India in the late 90s and the early 20s. This book digs into excessive particulars of how the brains started to labour to commit this monstrous crime from the very start. The book even shows us Telgi’s early years and how the idea, was propagated in his cognizance in a prison by a fellow prison-mate. There is also a detailed account of how the law could be bent
About the author
Bhaswar Mukherjee calls himself an accidental writer. He has a degree in mechanical engineering and an MBA from IIM-Bangalore. After close to 18 years in multinational banks, he quit in 2005 to set up his own company, Bridgepoint Solutions Pvt Ltd, which provides consultancy and learning solutions in the banking domain. His short story, Unrequited, was selected in a contest by Readomania and was one of the two winning entries. Acceptance was selected by Sudha Murty and published by Penguin India. Another story, Garib Rath, was picked up by author Ravinder Singh for his anthology entry. Bhaswar has contributed to 11 anthologies and his solo anthology, It Happens: Stories of Human Relationships, was published in May 2020.
