Bill is a consultant anaesthetist and trauma physician at Royal North Shore Hospital in Sydney, Australia. He has combined skills gained from the aviation industry and his experience as a commercial helicopter pilot to develop checklists designed for clinical use in advanced airway management.

Bill is a Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney Medical School and Senior Faculty at the Sydney Clinical Skills and Simulation Centre. He is a Senior Instructor for Advanced Trauma Life Support and Emergency Management of Anaesthetic Crises. Formerly, he was a career Army Officer.
