Due to their biodegradability, renewability and superior lubrication performance compared to commercial fossil lubricants, vegetable oils are becoming substitutes for petroleum-based lubricants in different sectors, especially in the automotive industry. Biolubricants covers feedstocks, physicochemical properties, process to chemically alter raw oils from feedstocks, lubrication characteristics, as well as the additives to enhance properties.

Dr Yashvir Singh is presently working as a post-doctoral fellow in the Faculty of Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia, Parit Raja, Batu Pahat, Johor, Malaysia. He is also an associate professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Graphic Era Deemed to be University, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India. He has more than 15 years of teaching experience. He has written over 100 research articles and published them in various peer-reviewed journals. He is also a reviewer and editorial board member of various journals. His specialization includes areas like tribology, biofuels, lubrication, manufacturing, and additive manufacturing. He has taught various subjects at UG and PG levels, such as non-conventional energy sources, Thermofluids, Internal Combustion Engines, Lubricant additives and their chemistry etc.

Dr. Nishant K. Singh is an associate professor at Harcourt Butler Technical University, Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. He earned his PhD from IIT, Dhanbad, Masters in Production Engineering and B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from Delhi College of Engineering, Delhi. He has written more than 60 articles in well-known international journals and Serves as the Reviewer and Editorial Member in peer-reviewed Journals and Conferences. His research interests include tribology, micro-manufacturing and non-conventional machining processes.

Dr. Abhishek Sharma is a professor at G L Bajaj Institute of Technology and Management, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India. He earned his PhD from the University of Petroleum and Energy Studies, Dehradun, Uttarakhand, India and his Masters in Mechanical Engineering from Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh, India. He has written more than 80 articles in well-known international journals and Serves as the Reviewer and Editorial Member in peer-reviewed Journals and Conferences. His research interests include biofuels, optimization techniques, green energy, and tribology.
