Wie werden Ungeborene per Ultraschall ›ins Bild gesetzt‹? Wie gestalten die Teilnehmer der klinischen Veranstaltung die soziale Beziehung, in die sie aufgrund des diagnostischen Tuns eingebunden sind? Birgit Heimerls Ethnografie zur Praxis vorgeburtlicher Sonografie und der sie begleitenden Beratungsgespräche fokussiert auf die klinische Situation und die situierten Praktiken, die auf Basis teilnehmender Beobachtung rekonstruiert werden. Die Analyse stützt sich auf die Mikrosoziologie Erving Goffmans und auf praxeologische Vorstellungen von Sozialität. Sie zeigt u.a., wie Ungeborene als epistemische Wissensobjekte der Pränataldiagnostik sonografisch artikuliert und ›verkörpert‹ werden und wie dies kommunikativ und interaktiv gerahmt wird.
About the author
Birgit Heimerl (Dr. phil.) hat an der Universität Mainz promoviert. Sie war anschließend am Deutschen Jugendinstitut e.V. in München und an der Universität Augsburg als wissenschaftliche Mitarbeiterin beschäftigt. Derzeit leitet sie die Geschäftsstelle Gesundheitsregion-Plus im Landkreis Landsberg am Lech.
