About this eBook

From New York Times bestselling author Meghan March comes a story of untold truths and one man’s redemption in the Dirty Mafia Duet.

Every family has a black sheep.

In the infamous Casso crime family, that black sheep is me—Cannon Freeman.

Except I’m not a free man. I’ve never been free. Not since the day I was born.

I owe my loyalty to my father, Dominic Casso, even if he won’t publicly acknowledge me as his blood.

I’ve never had a reason to go against his wishes… until I met her.

Drew Carson turned my world upside when she walked into my club looking for a job.

Now, my honor and my life are on the line.

Going against my father’s wishes might buy me a bullet straight from his gun, but black sheep or not, it’s time to make my stand.

She's worth the fallout.

Okay, y'all. Just yes. Meghan March and her not quite legit or above board alpha men are going to do me in every single time. You may have met Cannon Freeman in Meghan's earlier books, but you haven't seen him like this. And, true to form, we've got a heroine who can more than hold her own in her dealings with the boss man, and mesmerize him while doing so. Drew Carson is a woman on a mission, and she's not stopping until she's got all the answers. If only keeping away from Cannon was as easy... BLACK SHEEP has all the markings of Meghan's best books, with characters that you'll fall in love with right away, a tautly written plot that doesn't let up, and, oh, yeah, plenty of those scenes. You know, the ones that make you wish you had a tall cool drink and a fan. But there's more here than just insta-lust, and this is one book that you will not be able to put down. And, yes, yes she did. As cliffie writer extraordinaire, Meghan brings this book to a close with a bang, one that'll have you sitting on the edge of your seat and giving your retail site of choice the side eye, as you tap your fingers and wait for White Knight (Book 2) to be released. But, never fear, it won't be long until you can get your hands on the sure-to-be-awesome wrap-up in this dirty duet. In the meantime, do yourself a favor and give the audiobook a listen, because Andi Arndt and Sebastian York have worked their usual magic, bringing these characters and their stories to vivid life. Because once around with Meghan's books is never enough, so get yourself set up and enjoy.

Black Sheep is an intense romantic suspense story with sizzling chemistry, nail-biting tension and characters you want to set free from the chains keeping them bound to danger at every turn. I am currently speechless, Meghan March has made me fall for Cannon and Drew in a big, big way. Both characters have a public persona they have carefully crafted in order to survive in the circles the move in. However, they are drawn to each other from the first encounter. Although Drew has a lot of preconceived ideas about the person Cannon is and an ulterior motive to her actions, she doesn’t count on drawing the interest of one of the deadliest men in the country, who also happens to be Cannon’s father. I cannot begin to fathom the weight Cannon carries on his shoulders – from his unwanted heritage and not having control over his own life to never being able to lower his barriers out of self-preservation. Drew and Cannon are very similar in that respect, although Drew was able to choose her path while Cannon had no other option. I am unsure which would be the easiest to condone when they both lead to the same destination. I loved the connection between Cannon and Drew, it was as if they were kindred spirits whose souls recognised each other. Unfortunately, the wealth of lies between them creates an underlying tension with the outcome when the truth is uncovered completely unpredictable. Black Sheep has a jaw-dropping cliff-hanger of which there is no way of expressing the outcome in advance. Don’t let me down, Cannon 😍

***5 ‘You Look Like I Need to Kiss You Again’ Stars*** YAAASSSSS!!! Even with that Cliffy, I’m over hear all kinds of puppy dog, stupid swoony grin and twitterpated heart because I FINALLY got Cannon!!! Or at least part of Cannon, since this is a duet, but you understand. I have been waiting since the before Dirty Billionaire trilogy was completed to know about Cannon because I knew he had to be just as awesome as Crey Crey to be his bff and I was proven right! He is so much more than the sum of his parts, and some of those parts are quite wonderful and I ended up adoring him. And then there is Drew. This woman has balls of steel, let me tell you, and I adored her. She sticks to her convictions, but isn’t one to go into a situation blindly, nor is she one to take things at face value...most of the time. She just has that thing that makes me want to grab a couple of fingers of bourbon and get to know her better. As for their journey thus far...HAWT (was that ever in doubt???) but also sweet and swoon worthy. The chemistry between them is intense and, despite what brought them together, I loved how well they flowed together and cannot wait to see what else they’ll have to face before getting the HEA they so richly deserve. Now, I’m typically making grabby hands at the next book in either a Meghan March duet or trilogy, and believe me when I say that I am, but I am in a bit of a conundrum...do I wait to read the words that are in White Knight OR do I listen to them?? I do have the audio book for the duet ~ I am a #fangirl after all ~ but I waffled over diving in to them first or wait for the book because sometimes I prefer reading first and then listening to the words since I don’t have to worry too much about paying attention...I still haven’t made up my mind on what I will do, but at least I have the option open to me *BSEG* But as for the storyline and all the characters that populate the Dirty Mafia world...I honestly love the path that has been laid out for Cannon and Drew and cannot wait to see how things play out after that very...interesting ending. And as for the secondary characters...well, I love hearing about some of my fav’s from other books ~ one was definitely accompanied by a bit of happy dancing ~ but Dom Casso is the one that intrigues me the most because part of me wants to not like him, but I cannot help but be fascinated by the man and I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what he does, or doesn’t do, in the next book! ~ Copy provided by the author & voluntarily reviewed ~
