After the apparent suicide of Dr. Lydia Kine, a Tyrell Corporation bioengineer, was determined to be a murder committed by a Replicant, LAPD Detective Cal Moreaux is tracking the presumed killer: a Nexus 5 prototype.

Growing suspicious of Tyrell Corp. after a recent Replicant attack, Cal and Dr. Kline’s brother, Marcus, return to the LAPD, where Marcus is abducted by Tyrell Corp.’s Ilora Stahl. In a swift response, Cal leaves to question and protect Dr. Kine’s protégé, Effie, as Marcus is rescued from Ilora by a rogue Replicant.
