An enjoyable read. A decent sci-fi setting that doesn't worry too much about the specifics of technology so much as the social hierarchy, and the flow of war. A bit like a mini Ender's Game, the plot moves somewhat too fast for its own good, and the ending could use some help, but I enjoyed the read nonetheless.

Just finished rereading this book. A great 50ish page story from the genius Brandon Sanderson. There is not a single move made in this book that isn't foreshadowed beforehand and the ending is SO satisfying. I don't think I can say anymore without repeating the blurb or spoiling the story.

I was amazed at the amount of story and depth Sanderson was able to pack into these 21 pages. His SF writing is somewhat reminiscent of Timothy Zahn. Good story telling that gets your mental juices flowing with theories and keeps you guessing as he slowly unfolds his narrative.
