About this eBook

As a police officer in Table Rock, Oregon, Leah Radcliff puts her life on the line to help others every day. But at home, Leah’s battling her own personal nightmare: Brad, her abusive husband, a fellow officer, celebrated hero, and beloved son of a powerful prominent family. Brad’s violent outbursts and suspicious activities have left Leah physically and emotionally scarred, until one desperate action to put a stop to his abuse results in deadly consequences.

Though public opinion seems ready to convict Leah, Officer Clint Tanner is one of the few to believe she acted in self-defense. As he works with Leah’s attorney to produce the evidence they need, new truths about Brad’s dark side come to light—and reveal a deep-rooted problem in Table Rock. There are some who have breached their sworn duty to serve and protect . . . and they’ll do anything to keep their secret safe.

The cover and synopsis drew me to this book. I flew through the pages not wanting to wait to see what happened next. This was a very interesting storyline with well-rounded characters I was rooting for and those I couldn’t wait to see what they had coming. I have been looking for Christian suspense authors and I will be adding Janice Cantore to my library!

When Leah gets a call of domestic valance and sees the damage, Brad wouldn’t go this far or would he, she was scared. Clint wonder what she saw in Brad to have married him. For him he disliked Brad immediately didn’t like his manner or tactics. Brad was on the same shift as Leah, a quiet night maybe they could talk. Wanting her father, he too never liked Brad, a womanizer, wild, so not much communication with him in two years. A story seeing domestic violence in her line of work, and didn’t tell anyone, feeling guilty, and mad at God for allowing it to happen. Emotion are tense, rumors were rampant that she is guilty. Who will believe her innocence. With a young Christian attorney, prayers, can she be cleared.. Given ARC by Net Galley, Tynsdale for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
