About this eBook

Second in the darkly compelling, sexually-charged contemporary romance trilogy, in which two men vie for the mind, body, and heart of a woman who may never give in to their wishes—or her own…

Evelyn “Scout” Keats has left behind her painful past of surviving on the streets, and is now living in the luxurious penthouse master suite of Hotel Patras with her lover, billionaire Lucian Patras. But what she doesn’t know is the price Lucien paid for her freedom.

To protect Scout’s life, Lucian cut a deal with a dangerous man from her past, Parker Hughes. He swore to stay away from her for thirty days, even though he knows Parker will be fighting to keep them apart for good and take Scout as his own.

Yet neither man realizes that Scout is not about to be used as a prize or a bargaining chip for any man’s power play—and she falls back on her hard-earned self-respect and courage to show both men that the only person she truly needs is herself.

But Lucien has other plans…

I loved the concept of the story, but get frustrated with Evelyn about how completely naive she is for someone who is meant to be street smart, I'm still unsure if I like the books or just reading for the follow through

Hang onto your hats ladies... for those of you that have been following along and reading the first book, you're in for a doozy. I totally get it but I totally wasn't expecting what Lydia surprised us with this time around. The conflict, the heartache, the questions... She did not let up one bit. I kept turning the pages and reading as fast as I could to find out if she was going to break the monotony of endless what's going to happen now questions but she stayed true to form keeping up with the high tension all the way to her cliff hanging ending that will again leave us on the edge of our seats until the next installment is released. I loved it and I hated it because I want so much to know what happens next! There were so many times I wanted to throw the book across the room, so many times I wanted to scream at the pages in frustration and at the same time reach through the pages and loll out the therapeutic hugs. Note to readers: try not to bite your nails with this one I lost a few in the duration. (Urg) Lydia has once again won my complete attention and fandom. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that book three comes out soon!
