It explores important themes in contemporary sport management, including resilience in sport organizations; the use of technology in crisis communication; the socio-cultural dimensions of crisis management; reputation and image management; policing and security; and the management of sports events. It also offers examples from a wide range of different sports, including tennis, golf, soccer, gymnastics, mountaineering, rugby, distance running, and the Olympic Games.
