Sam Flock is a good cop, even if she does drink too much. Off-duty, she's been known to cause her own trouble, but when she drives into the side of an ambulance after seeing a ghost, her career in law enforcement meets its end. Determined to find answers, she forms a paranormal investigation agency with her capable but sometimes annoying friend, Shells. I liked the cover art and blurb so I decided to download this book. The name and disclaimer are misleading. I expected an erotic read with no real story, what I got was a group of characters that I want to learn more about. I am hoping there is a previous story that gives us more details on Sam, Shells & Greg. I hope there are more adventures and I get to read about them. This book is worth reading.

Fast paced but unfortunately lacked detail. The idea was good but spent most of the book reading details of food that was eaten. Fell a bit flat at the end. Won't stop me reading other books but felt didn't live up to the Godland series.

Loved this book & hated to see it end. I would love to read about these characters in another book. Sam , Shells , even redneck Brian. I cried tears of laughter when redneck Brian was working in the store & waited on the woman wanting cheese. This is a must read , don't miss book!

About the author

As a teen, Brian Rathbone had a hunger for Young Adult Fantasy, Epic Fantasythat could not be satisfied. He would hide out in his secret reading place for weeks and perch on his choice of straw bale thrones. It was a spiritual and sometimes emotional journey filled with thieves, wizards and it was dragon city.
Years later, after failing to get a job training dragons or as a wizard, he channeled that passion to create The World of Godsland YA fantasy series, which also includes multiple free young adult books. Call of the Herald, the series starter, is one such freebie.
