Keeps you guessing: What a unique and intense story that had both complex characters and plot. There were a lot of layers to it plus a lot of moving parts, however it unfurled in such a way as to be intriguing and I was still able to keep track of what was going on. Unfortunately whilst interesting, the flow of the story became somewhat bogged down at times by an excessive amount of facts. I also found it weird how the character's inner dialogue was relayed in the third person whilst the rest of the story was in the first person, and it was as if someone else was admonishing them. This book was designated as being Christian fiction but I think it is better characterised as being a suspense novel with a very light Christian thread. It was heavy on the intrigue; light on the romance. I did like Travis and Adira and look forward to seeing how things play out for them as this is only the first book in the series.
