About this ebook

HE'D DEFY THE VERY FATES FOR HER.

Aodhan Adrastos is the greatest Dardaptoan vampire warrior to have ever lived.

Legends have been written about his heroics in battle. So why is a warrior like him hunting a human female of less than thirty years? Vengeance.

But revenge feels cold and wrong once he gets a good look at the human he is supposed to kill.

SHE HAS TO ESCAPE FROM HIM.

Mallory Taniss had been a victim before—because of her grandfather's evil choices. She barely survived that horrific attack. The nightmare is about to happen all over again. Before Mallory can escape, she's abducted by a vampire claiming she's the mate he's been destined to find. A vampire who came to kill her—but has just changed his mind.

NOW HE MUST PROTECT HER FOREVER...

Aodhan takes one look at the fiery but terrified Mallory and knows there is no way in the three hells he'll ever let anyone—human or vampire—harm her ever again.

Mallory's swept up into a world she can't understand—and she has just one ally among the Dardaptoans.

—The vampire who wants her for his own.

Stockholm Syndrome much!!!! With that being said Mel had me pulling my hair 80%of this book and let me not start with the family tree, it had me so confused because there is just too many of them and them being changed everywhere by different paranormals made it worse. Other than those few obstacles the book was enjoyable

Nices action descriptions could more steamy interaction with the main characters and story had a bit too many character names.

Annoying female who would cut off her nose to spite her face. Story still entertaining from different perspectives.

About the author

C.J. Brookes lives in central Indiana with her husband of fifteen years, their ten-year-old daughter, four-year-old lump of a beagle, elderly but diabolically clever border collie, evil border collie puppy, four demanding ducklings, one garden snail who lives in her child’s bathroom, and a rogue cardinal named Carl and his wife Carla.

Best known for her romantic suspenses, which she writes under her main name of Calle J. Brookes, she has been writing for more than twenty years, and has more than seventy novels and novellas published.

In 2018, C.J. made the decision to remove all the paranormal titles she had published, revise them, update them, and expand them before sending them to her wonderful editor to make them better than ever.

In 2020 the first five titles were ready for relaunch. In that time-frame, C.J. added even more titles to the list. Watch for the first five Dardanos titles in 2020—plus, a brand-new book FATED TO THE WOLF.

If you’d like to drop C.J. a note, she can be found at [email protected].
